A prosocial community is one in which everyone is concerned with the other members of the community along with the well-being of the community as a whole and with themselves. It includes a prosocial conception of justice for all individual members and the community. Each person is also accorded a sense of dignity; no one is entirely excluded nor is anyone allowed to dominate. Prosocial communities assist people in developing and internalizing a prosocial sense of conscience. They facilitate and sustain the internalizing of a moral sense of judgment that values the well-being of all and the community at large, and considers them to be interrelated.

Another solution is to engage in conflict over our differences. Doing so may lead to finding a way to accommodate each other or it may narrow our range of constructive interactions and destroy our relationships and even our communities Tyler, F. , Brome, & Williams, 1991).
